Sub/Amp Install MY08

Hey all,

My mate has a pioneer sub/amp he said he will give me. I am wondering how hard this is to install, tried searching but couldn't find anyone that has tried a DIY.

I have MY08 2.51 Sedan (Non McIntosh)

If its too hard I may just see how much BDL Car Stereo want to charge me or something...?

didnt search very hard, i did this ages ago. Should be in reference material and walkthoughs, but yea

BTW, some of the pictures are not from my car, ie the McIntosh HU and the auto transmission. Eitherway, the HU is the same in terms of mounting, and the transmission, if you have a manual you just have to pull the leather part up and the ring will pop out.

its not that hard to be honest, all depends where you want your stuff. I put my amp under my seat purely because i didnt plan on putting a big sub in my boot, and wanted to keep my boot space.
in terms of sub there are other options, like the premium liberties come with the stock subwoofer in the parcel shelf, and i had a look and our car also has the mounting position, so i opted for an 8" subwoofer and put it there. Gives plenty bass that i need, i dont lose boot space, and everything looks stock as rock.

i took Phil's (garbo) advice and got the Vibe Space8.

when i was planning on doing it, i did call up a few places and i think i was quoted bout $150-200 for installation + wiring (bout $75 for a decent 4 gauge wiring kit).
