Make Your ULTREX Lip an STI Lip!!!

Postby Laps » Mon May 31, 2010 4:51 pm

Not really,

But I found this which I thought id share, incase no one else had found it.

$12.50 AUD a pop, aint to bad.

Order from the online subaru shop (http://shop.subaru.com.au/), choose 'STI Range' from the menu.

(PS. Sorry if this doesn't belong here, I thought it was a mod, kinda :| )

It will look very close to a STi lip spoiler, like you wheels look soo close to the Advans 151C wheels.

Your doing well to save money my man. :D

Been there, done that :) viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7765&hilit=+lip

I have found so far that everyone but those who actually have a genuine STI lip, think it's a genuine lip.

It's hard to keep the Ultrex lip all shiny and black like the genuine one.

Fair call Alex thanks for finishing off my thread then ;)

Daz, the genuine lip is Resin, that's why it stays really black. I've used Mothers tyre conditioner on it, it works really really well and lasts ages. (Not the silicon based stuff)

$23 or so at your local auto shop for a big 700ml spray bottle.

This stuff lasts ages and you hardly need to use any. In the rainy weather we have now it lasts 2+ weeks on the tyres which says a lot.

It'll scratch like a mofo. At leaest your car is black, it's not so obvious - I thought about painting my lip silver but I'd probably cry.

Especially this week - now that I've let the girlfriend take the car home after she drops me off home while her car's in for repairs :P

Yeah I agree about painting the lip. It'll look good for about a week or two until you get the first chip then it'll spread like wildfire. My car isn't even that low and I constantly scrape my lip on driveways.

I dont let anyone drive my car, plus black is fine, i remember when I had my gold impreza, the front scractched like a mofo, yet you could only see it cause it was black, but even then you had to get on your knees and pretty much look under

Hey Laps - I saw teK's thread on this a while back and forgot to get one.

I reckon that's a good idea. I don't use my genuine lip for fear of wrecking it like I did my Ultrex one. Now I've got another, I'd like to make it look a little more STi -ish...

If anyone else is interested, let me know and I might be able to get them cheaper.
