Hi Everyone,

Have just arrived back from living in Dubai where I have seen all the most flamboyant cars the world has - I have come back to reality with the car I have still always wanted.

I was able to get the MY09 Spec B Liberty 3.0L at a dealership second hand with only 24,000km on the clock. A sleek black car with all the additions you can have. Best of all, as I like to drive - its a 6 speed manual, and a gear box that would put to shame some of the best cars on the road. Very impressed thus far and extremely happy with the buy.
Now I am looking to make a few small additions that I was a little disappointed didnt come with the car. Bluetooth is done, but now for reverse camera (as the wife will use the car to!) :D
Can anyone suggest what this might cost? And also if there are any particular businesses I should be contacting in Adelaide? I have had a quote already for $495 which I feel is expensive considering the sat nav saves costs on the screen...

Appreciate any guidance on this...

Welcome and glad to see another new Lib owner! Getting a lot new owners this week! :D

The camera is probably under $150. The rest is probably labour and depending on how good of a job they do, sometimes it's worth it as long as the wires are nicely tucked away and they put everything back the way it was.

Thanks guys.

Arith - your right on that one. I have seen the camera for around $150 - just now trying to find the labour without being charged over the top rates! Worked with a guy getting blue tooth in and didn't take long at all.

If anyone knows of some good people in this area love to know...

Welcome mate.

Agree with Jimbo - plenty of newbie's this week!! My post count is getting a good hit!! LOL.

Seriously, welcome aboard. Plenty of info here on little (big mods) so you should get all of your questions answered in here. Oh, and probably be tempted to spend more than you wanted / planned to!!

That's another 3R Spec B to the list...

Be sure to post some pics up too!

hey welcome mate

i hooked up a reverse camera to my factory sat nav a while back.... cost me $180+ for the camera from memory....... make sure you get yourself a wide-angle (170 deg) CCD camera..... the cheaper ones on the market have CMOS sensors and quality is not as good, esp at night!

have a look at this thread, it may or may not be useful to you:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6614

Also depending on your sat nav, i had to buy the auxiliary cable and an extra cable that tells the camera to come on when you put the car in reverse.........

hope some of that is helpful.......
