STI ENKEI's wont fit B4-help wanted

Postby B1B2andB4 » Tue May 25, 2010 4:56 pm

Hello,

Got my new rims today :D
off to tyre shop to fit...
They didnt clear the springs (hit the yellow bit) :angry2:

Was fitting 18" 7x5 (offset 55) STI ENKEI with 235x40x18's
I was sure these fit on as i have spoken with another member who has them on a B4.

All ideas/advice/HELP much appreciated.

I believe Shane has these rims and I haven't heard of any rubbing? Perhaps he's running a 225 wide tire.

Shane = JDM RSK yes - i spoke with him before purchase.
He runs 225's i was trying to talk the guys at shop into trying 225's they said no way they would clear if 235's where touching.

What :?: That extra 1 cm wouldn't help clearance? What were they smoking when you arrived ?????

Get a second opinion. 225/40-18 on a STi wheel (with +55 offset) should fit without problems.

Putting spacers on will fix your problem of rubbing the struts/springs! But be careful how big you go as you don't want them to rub the guards!
