Annoyed with purchasing wheels...........

Hey Jim,

I search around to get a price on the Bridgestone RE070A in a 225/35/19.
I was told that they only go upto a 18" from a bridgestone centre. I found this pretty weird.

Trying to find something decent is freaking hard. LOL

Bridgestone are annoying to deal with, if its too hard they fob you off. I got told anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks for a stock 18" tyre for mine... few phone calls later and I had one lined up on two days...

Has anyone had experience with a P-Zero Corsa or a Michelin Sport PS2 tyre.

They are recommending these to be the best. Soo is the bloody price , but I dont care about the $$$ for tyres.

well the PS2 is likely to be discontinued with the PS3 recently released. The original PS was highly regarded, the only gripes being cold/wet performance and concern over life expectancy. I would expect the PS2 would have been an improvement

I was just price for a P Zero Corsa for $990 each and another place was $650. LOL

P-Zero Corsa is a semi slick whereas the Michelin Sport PS2 is a high performance all round tyre.

Man choosen tyres is worse then choosen your rims....

Can I ask for those people out there what thread are they using for a 19" ?

I have a friend with Pilot Sport 2 run flats on his 2009 325i...... he swears by them. I'll be getting either Proxes 4 or Kumho KU36 for when my 18s arrive.

Just got a nice phone call to inform me that my Ray/Volk GT30 wheels have been made and they have left Japan.

Mark I have bags under my eyes cause of the sleepness nights.

Hopefully next week I was told, but in the mean time I am doing other little projects to keep me occupied.

Well, the heads are off and at the shop getting crack tested. There was definitely a blown head gasket, between the exhaust and the water jacket, drivers side centre cylinder I think. Will also do the seats, guides and seals while the engine is out. Should have the car back next week. Still don't know the costs yet, but I know it will not be cheap.
