Rear wiper on sedan?

Postby tangcla » Sun Aug 19, 2007 9:39 pm

Has anyone tried fitting the JDM rear windscreen with the wiper on their Liberties? I'm thinking about it...

I am very interested if u pull this off.

I think it looks sexy with a rear wiper. Hate it wen i rains and the drops sit there.

Not sure if you can get a rear screen with the hole in it that passes Australian standards.

yeah, im personally not too ot crash about having a hole in my back screen either, and I don't trust anyone skilled enough to do it, nor the electronic bits that would get wired up as well -_-

Good point, you'd have to get yourself a new stalk with the rear controls on it, although I guess you could just use one from a wagon.

yeah guys i understand why you would want a rear wiper....na na i got one, anyway you would need a japanese spec rear screen, wiper motor, wiper arm and a wagon control stalk also dont know it the wires would be there for it all to work...shane

Doing some rough pricing up and this would cost well over $1000 for the rear windscreen alone.

Guess I'm out :(

Wires are probably there, like all the wiring for the electric seats that are under my manually operated seats. But if the rear screen costs you $1000+, forget it.

I've found the faster I drive the clearer the rear screen gets anyway
After driving at 110Kph on the freeway in the rain, can see out the back window fine.

I'm in Auckland this week and have seen many Libs with rear wipers and personally they look crap .They take away the lines of the rear of the sedan.
Although these are factor fitted they look out of place

Their are extremely nice B4 sedans here for sale with 60 000 @ $8-9000
