Hello and Greetings everyone!

Long time lurker finally joined recently :)

Just picked up the new MY10 premium - crystal black and having lots of fun .. even with the 4000rpm limit for the first 1600kms 8)

Stock - just with sti lip , sti brace and rear spoiler.

Previous rides are MY07 GT spec B and MY03 WRX clubspec so i guess I am one of the 70% who stay with subies over time on tradein. Was also briefly looking at the A4Quattro and Passat but eventually ended up back at the GT again 8)

Here are some pics - still waiting for plates to arrive but suprisingly the standard yellow plates look quite ok IMO with the black car lol

G'day welcome nice car you got. 4000 rpm limit just drive it it's the best way to run it in. I would also advisevyou to change the oil and filter. I am getting a new engine and the people who are building changevthe o and f after a short test drive and again at 1000k's. I asked about running it in and they said just drive it normal but don't just thrash it all the time

Thanks jdmrsk - re changing the oil - interesting that in the MY10 GTs the first suggested service/oil change is actually at 12500kms

I am still going to get it changed at 5000ks though

yeah i remember a dealer once told me - oh, for running in, just drive it normal and keep it below this (points to the red line) :P

Hallo, welcome! More MY10... love it :)

I've been driving 'normally' but not thrashing the car - gone over 4k a few times but not overdoing it.

I plan to change the oil around 1000k - I have a couple of things for the dealer to fix (scratch on trim on delivery, rattle from sunroof plastic sleeves) so will try to get them to do it at the same time.

Enjoy the car !

Hi and welcome and congratulations on your lovely new car. I am new here as well and in 2 or so weeks I am also getting an new MY10 GT in Graphite Grey with all the body kit bits and the tower brace. Seeing yours makes me want mine sooner. We picked up a MY10 2.5i Sports also in Graphite Grey for my mother a few weeks ago and its fantastic, caused me to go and get one for myself.

I will be getting my first oil changed at around 3,000km and will use appropriate synthetic oil.
