ill be posting pics up tomorrow or sunday (when i get a chance) just got home from celebrating my 21st.

i did put some dynamat on the metal part of the parcel shelf...but i didnt think to put it on the bottom of the carpeted cover(this is doing my head in at the moment). Sunday i will be dynamatting my front doors, so i shall pull apart the parcel shelf to do the underside of the carpet.

Looks stealth, good work. Did the OEM Mac grill not fit??? I'm assuming not due to xmax and possibly a bigger drive etc.

How does she sound??? While the driver breaks in you'll find it will start playing a bit lower and smoother.

sounds great :D really happy with it. Went to my mates place, he was impressed with the sound, n his mate thought i had a 12 or 15" in the boot. LOL!

didnt bother with the Mac grill. The vibe had its own grille so i just cut a hole in the parcel shelf and the grill fit in perfectly. Now i just have to find some rubber edging to give it a much neater finish.

overall though, im very happy.

and for anyone that does want to install one of these, a 3cm spacer is required due to the rods going across the boot.

How did you seal up the spacer against the metal? As it not flat (well it isn't in the GTB). I was thinking of putting a spacer down on mine and sealing the gap up with silicon or something, lol.

when i took off the parcel shelf, i found it to be quite flat there. It had a metal plate covering the hole, took that off and it was flat around the edges.

bit of a dig here for a 1st post, but please don't think little of me for it.
I've done a bucket-load of searching fut to no avail, and this seemed like the best place to ask.

Now ... for the life of me I can't seem to find the actual output ratings for the stock Mcintosh amp. You see, my stock sub has split the cone and now sounds like Sylvester Stallone trying Opera. (i.e. not good)
The thing that really gets me is that the sub is rated to 35W RMS and 70 peak, but I read http://nzlamb.wordpress.com/2010/06/17/mcintosh-ef-1080i-information/ that the amp is producing 72W. so does that mean that I can actually use a new sub rated to 70W RMS and still get good sound? or do I just go for the smallest JL that I can find like .. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=28..?

again, sorry if I'm flogging a dead horse here, but i can find no other concrete answers.
