GTSPECB STI wrote:Well thats an awesome result on stock internals mate, must be a neck snapper now. Any idea what sort of peak torque are you getting ? Are you logging any data just to be on the safe side?

the sheet shows torque and KW's

the car did make 256 quite safe but due to Phil's lack of care when it comes to cars i thought we would lower the A/F from 12.2 to 11.5 which droped the power alittle as you can see the power change direction a little at 115km's

no need to log as this car will run like a dream all day long and i might add it drives better than a stock car under 3 and a bit K and after that WELL

your right Michael I can just see the first number in the vert graph but why oh why do you guys insist on using this format instead of rpm vs torque and hp or kw ?

Jim you can go past 200 kw but it just a matter of how long before the ping ping sound. I like it though dont get me wrong...pushing the boundries is what its all about particularly if you can afford it.

This engine will never hurt (PING PING) its all about using the right stuff to do the job and not cutting corners (and a few little tricks on these newer EJ's)

the turbo used is mounted in the factory position

remember this and you'll make safe power on any turbo car *its all about moving air more efficiently, what goes in must come out at almost the same rate  ) you'll make less heat which = more safer power

there are simple test you can do to check you have got it right (TRADE SECRET) before you go slap it on a dyno and hope it dont go BANG

If you can find the right person, I think that's the best way to do it.

I give no fark about cars, I just like driving.

So you'd be happy driving a hyundai getz then? You can still drive it and if you dont "give no fark" (grammar?) about cars.....

you only need to know a few things from the owner of the car if you know what your doing

1- what do you want to use the car for

2- do you want extra detail (extra bling)

3 do you want something different or something stock looking

4- what sort of budget to you have

its good to have all the ideas on what you want and how you think it should be done from reading forums and things but at the end of the day get the job done by someone who can show you they are capable of giving you what they promised

things to ask for (NOT tell want you want)

1- type of power you what and where you want it

2- type of finish

3- type of set up you want (stock looking or tough look or what have you)

and leave the rest up to the guy doing the job and if you have doughts go and see a few other tuners untill you find some one you can trust to do the type of job you want

best to find some one that thinks out side the box with a can do attitude as this is whats missing in so many tuning shops today(watch out for the can do'ers that can't do)

Believe me, no points rush over my head, not that you made one in the first place worthy of consideration.

I just fail to understand how someone can put up a mods thread on his/her car and then say they dont know what really went into the car as they paid someone else to do the work. I understand not everyone is adept at spinning a spanner and pay to have their car modified, but seriously have some insight into your own vehicle please.

In no way was I questioning the car or quality of the modifications.
