New car for Subie Boy

Postby Subie Boy » Sat Apr 24, 2010 5:03 pm

Hi all,

As some of you may have remembered, I sold my lib early this year because I was moving to New York for work. Well, due to few changes at work, I ended up staying here in Sydney (spent few mths in NY) due to the fact that the NY market is not doing too well (I work in Investment Banking) so I opted for a more stable life in Sydney.

So whilst, I do miss my old liberty heaps, I thought it was time for me to move on and get a brand new car! My cousin was looking at the Jeep Cherokee earlier this year and I thought they are great cars....he ended up buying an Oddyssey but I thought these cars look good and have awesome value for money for what we get with the car.

Mine is the 2010 Jeep Cherokee Limited 3.7L V6 model and comes with MY GIG Entertainment System (Sat Nav, DVD, MP3s, Bluetooth and the whole lot), Power Sunroof, 20 inch wheels that the dealer threw in as part of the package and also tow bar. I picked it up yesterday afternoon and love it to bits and pieces. I wanted a brand spanking new one built 2010 so as as result I had to wait nearly 2 mths for this to arrive hahaha!

I know it is not a liberty but I thought I post some pics here for you guys, I have shared many things with you guys over the years and I still browse through the forums here and there so I thought I will show you all my new car. It is getting Paint and Interior protection done at my friend's car detailing place this Sunday/Monday!

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Cheers

Brian

Well actually he's not Jim, if you read his post he says that he's based in Sydney and only spent a few months in NY.

When I give an opinion you have to ask yourself...what the hell does he know about anything!

I started out with nothing....and I've still got most of it left.....

LOL! Opps! Missed that part! Presumed he would have gotten a Jeep for living over there, not in Sydney!

Certainly a 180 degree change in direction, Brian! Good to see you loving it. :P

Hi Jim, yea hahaha change of plans! New York is awesome though and I will still be travelling there for work at least once every 1-2 mths because of this project we're working on for work! But yea, love the SUV and the Jeep is amazing to drive!

I still follow this forum though as I still keep an interest on how everything is going here with cars, PHAT's products, etc lol

Jim, there's probably better stuff from Japan then US for the Lib hehehe

Ethan, nothing like that, the car is complete for me....maybe when the tyres run out, I might go to 22s at the moment it's running 20s and I find them a bit small for the car hahaha you know me and my big wheels

Hi all,

After owning the brand new car for a week and a half, I got sick of the wheels that came with the car, so I purchased some 22 inch MKW 45 wheels and Dunlops Sports Maxx SP Tyres 265'.

Here are pics, hope you all enjoy!

Brian, you need to lower that thing when you get new wheels otherwise you end up looking like a 4-wheel drive. Oh wait, your vehicle is a 4-wheel drive! Looks good then! :P
