i have done a heap of research on these exact models as it was exactly what i was looking to do to my lib...

the pioneer was recommended above all as the top model...the eclipse was best bang for buck...double din facia phat is your man.

have you considered buying a top spec dvd / double din head unit (about $750 for the P1450) and then installing or using a top spec'd nav sytem...will cost you much less to buy separately then as a joint purchase....and how many times do you actually use a nav system?
yes you will have it running all the time but how any times will you actually need to use it to justify the $1k price difference

An update guys,

I am going to wait and see the new Pioneer AVIC F20BT, it has been release but it hasn't actually hit the stores until next month.

Here are a few pics. The read up and specs are impressive as well.

THERB3,
Yeh, the earlier models had voice-control of your Ipod for the US versions only (ie you could say "play song name" and it would jump to it). Can't find much about the Aus edition anywhere? May have to wait a bit longer.

I think I am swaying towards the new Pioneer AVIC F20BT.

I am also changing my amp.

What I need to know is that do I need to rewire the hole system (example speakers) ?

Has anyone got a wire diagram of how the system is set up right now. Why I am asking this is, if I can change the head unit, amp and subwoofer without replacing any existing wires of the speakers it will be an easy plug in and play job.

Also has any heard of HERTZ speakers ?
