tangla is the workshop manual complete or is there stuff missing from it? I was looking for ages to find a diagram of the front suspension and brake setup and found part of what i was looking for. is there a trick to using this copy?

Me and dad started pulling a part the car today, looks like only the lower control arm is bent. The mounts are all ok. The bushes are stuffed. and 1 ball joint is stuffed. Shock may be slightly bent but need to finish pulling it out to measure it to find out how bent it is.

But lucky alot less damage than i thought there would be. Does anyone have a front arm for sale? or no somewhere i can buy one? Im going to be calling around the wreckers today but incase they dont have one.

Got 2 pictures to show some of the damage. First is the damage to the rim. And the 2nd is me pointing at where there is a 30degree bend in the swing arm.

How about a 'go jack'?? You know, the one that the car racing guys use?? That should get you down the road...

a 'go jack? never heard of it before. should be ok now as found a lower control arm brand new for $325 and got the stabilizer linkage for $25 and they threw in a new set of bushings for free, so will be installing the parts tomorrow after work, so soon as that is done my mechanic is going to walk up and drive to car to his workshop 2 doors down the road. He also looked over it yesterday for me and said i am lucky. no mounts were bent/broken. and the only damage that was done, was the lower control arm, and stabilizer linkage. But the gas strut may be ever so slighttly bent, it may or may not be bent. Its hard to tell. Without measuring it, it looks ok. But have decided to just go ahead and replace both front Struts to save me any hassle later down the track.

So should have my car back on the road by saturday (fingers Crossed)

Now all I need is a left hand side skirt as mines ripped in half when the tyre deflated. Or if i cant find any, I might just fibreglass it over the weekend, and spray it when I fix the Hail damage.

Damn I feel like my Liberty has had it out for me lately. First Hail, now this. Just glad its almost fixed

cars all back together and driveable now. My mechanic gave me the all clear, and booked the car in for next saturday at my dads mates shop (tyrepower) in berwick to get a full alignment done and will have to see from there how much it is out by. By the wheel is sitting where is it meant to now so thats at least half of it.

But i would like to say Subaru Spares in Moorabin was great and very helpfull. If anyone is trying to find hard to get parts give them a buzz. He has quite a few contacts, but also has quite a range.

Unfortunatly didnt have any turbos though. He said soon as he gets them, there out the door. But can get a stage 2 turbo upgrade for the 04-06 GT for $800

He is going to email me the specs of the turbo and ill post once he does.
