Life can't be all about the logical/technical side of things. Gotta have a bit of cosmetic/appearance in there (the beauty!). :P Heck, people bag my car all the time. They don't understand the reasons for the front fender vents, the Deltaspeed kit, or even the eyelids. They say those things don't contribute anything to performance or handling, so are considered useless mods.

But your alias tends to say it all! Tek = Technical. :D

Looks good... but can definitely go lower!! :D

Forget about team-paranoia... it is a Subaru Liberty street car after all... Pretty sure both of my WRX's have been well lower than that and never had any issues with the suspension side of things...

Did scrape fairly regularly though!

Its not like Subaru's aren't built to sit low!

Less body roll is only an advantage when there is suspension travel available. Otherwise you end up losing traction which = less control and less speed.

okay as you may or may not know when using adjustable coilovers and you lower your car as much as the coil over allows you do not lose and suspension travel or shock travel.my coilovers have a spec which is 180mm which is the preload on the spring for the coilover measured from the base which the spring sits in and the top plate which the top of the spring sits against and aslong as that is exactly 180mm then no matter how low you adjust the mounts on the bottom of the coilover you will still have full spring/shock travel..i have removed my rear bump stops and rolled the front guards and driven into dips with a full car and did not bottom out.. the only time you will lose spring/shock travel is when you buy already lowered springs or have your springs reset on a standard strut and that just seems a lil dodgy to me.

Even if you lower the coilover by adjusting the spring perch and not by preloading the spring, your suspension travel will still be limited by the suspension arms, CV joints, ball joints, hitting the guards or weathershields etc.

Most common situation is cornering hard when at half steering lock or more, if the suspension is so low already the front tyres will be all chopped up by the guards.

i see wat your saying and i have had the front right wheel hit the plastic guard on the inside but that was when all settings where at 1 (softest) and i hit a dip while turning a hard left at a decent speed but since then i have had all adjustments at 15 (hardest is 32) and not hit since..although inner lip of the front guards definitely needed to be rolled.. when you talk about suspension arms cvs ball joints etc i have put the car on a hoist and checked everything and there is still much more room available..i wouldnt have lowered it so much if i could see any future problems .. if i was to run a smaller profile tire i could probably lower the front another 2 inches lol but i wont be doing that
