This is the Momo model 26 steering wheel that I want to add along with the quick release, I just hope its stronger then the OEM steering wheel

And to clear some of those stories up about the car growing wings and flying over sheds and clearing cars here is a picture of the shed,although this is the new shed which is now bigger courtesy of my insurance. This is so that some big mouth in Queensland who thought he knew what happened can get an idea of what really happened. The rectangle is were I hit the shed

This is the view coming up the street and there was no reflective sign when I had the accident they put that there after the crash.

was doing 60-65 in 50 zone unfortunately wasn't concentrating on road and sometimes that is all it takes especially on a street your not familiar with. To be honest the steering wheel collapsing is what caused most of the injuries. Right hand- broke 2 middle fingers from smashing into dash, broke scafoid bone. Left hand- fractured wrist, dameged tendons on little finger and thumb

mate thats where the wife comes into it. She was pregnant at the time so I gave her some practice for the baby. She had to dress me, take me to the toilet and even wipe my ass. Now thats what you call true love lol

standard SA plates will do just fine I think Michael. the animal plate was a bit of fun at the time but it does look bad as I was labelled a hoon only because of the plate .

How *did* you do your tie for that event when your hands were so mangled!!!

Its been a year and 3 mths since the accident so I'm feeling 95% recovered. I've really got to hand it my wife, she was 6mths pregnant at the time and ran our take away shop working 7 days a week and doing over 90 hrs a week. She would then come home and take care of me and the house doing most of the hose work as well. She kept working right up until a week before she popped. By that time I was back in the shop working fresh out of the casts so I think that helped the recovery a bit but it was very hard as my hands where very week and stiff. I've recently been able to do push ups supporting my upper body and having both hands flat on the ground while having both arms straight. This shows just how much something like this slows you down and even then your still never 100%.
Oh and as for the tie my wife did that as well.
