Hmm, failed 4th synchro, AND a new clutch. How many k's have you done?
How are you finding that clutch? Mine's still fine, but has complained a bit when trying to reverse a trailer with a car on it up a slope ...

Most dealers will use Castrol Multitrax, whereas independent mechanics will use god knows what. Our gearboxes are really picky when it comes to gearbox oil. I changed to Castrol Syntrax which is almost 3 times the price but my shifts are now buttery smooth despite the Multitrax only having done about 5,000kms before I changed it out.
Syntrax is the "premium" oil that Docklands STI recommend.
