Tasty :D I'm pretty sure you need the "dog bone" adapters for the back and also you'll need Brembo specific hoses. I think the rear handbrake needs some trickery too.

Ask Tangles he's done the conversion.

I put fronts on mine a while back (since removed) and didn't have anything changed regarding hoses ?? The rear rotors will likely have the 190mm handbrake shoe so you'll have to change your current handbrake shoes or buy a DBA rotor with the 170mm adapter. There's also a small amount of grinding required on the rear for clearance, one of the dust shields needs to go from memory.

I'm sure it was on this forum that there was a very comprehensive write up on an actual conversion too.

Rear adaptors and EITHER a custom rear handbrake shoe to use the STi rotors, or a custom DBA rotor to use the standard handbrake shoe.

I went the handbrake shoe option as STi rotors are easier to come by, and an expensive handbrake shoe would last longer than an expensive rotor :)

I got the handbrake shoes and adaptors from "unclemat" on LegacyGT.com .

Very jealous of the condition of your calipers, too. The guy who sold mine, just threw them all into a box, unpadded, and sent them interstate. By the time it arrived, it was all chipped.

The rear rotors were stuffed, too. Not happy about that.

Hi George. Congrates on the purchase they look to be in good condition.Head over to Vsport or give them a buzz. They installed mine. They should be able to supply you with the correct rotors, dog bones and pads if needed.

One thing I've been told (and confirmed
with my mechanic) is that the rear adaptors will make a difference to the contact area of your pads to rotors. Just due to the way they are angled. Apparently the Onkel ones are very well made, and my mechanic confirmed the quality too.

Of course, you being in Sydney, have you checked what Michael suggested?

Hmmm - nice! I remember that feeling when I got mine. Whatever you do, just make sure that you have them looked over and installed by a pro! They're the only thing that stops you and you don't want to be hurling toward something at 100 and not be able to stop...!!!

Thanks guys for the info. The callipers are in good condition. The guy had them on a new STI WRX, he had only driven the car for about 2 months and then he took them off and turned the car into a rally car. The fronts have chips but are not that bad. The rears were stuffed up a little as he didn’t wipe off the brake fluid so some of the paint came off. :x :x
