Sat Nav @ Autobarn or not? Will they fit?

Postby julzzychan » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:49 pm

Dear all,

am looking at some GREAT deals on sat navs for only $799...instead of paying $3000+ for stock factory sat navs from Subaru. Does anyone know other than factory sat navs, that any other brands would possibly fit post-lifted GEN 4 liberties on dash?

give me some ideas guys,

much appreciated!!!

This is the current one i found in japanparts.com excluding the 7" monitor
Image for $286.77

Cheers,
Julzzy

Get a facia kit from Japan and get a double DIN headunit... that's what I've done. Removed the Mcintosh.

THIS is probably what you need (linky!)

Image

It's from Japanparts.com - list price is 30,800Y, which is.. erm... $371 odd AUD. (excl shipping).

Note there are a few options - I believe the 2.5i should need the black single aone (D / E / F) as pictured - however please verify yourself.. :)

The panel is expensive because you are replacing the HVAC controls - on the 2.5i the HVAC and audio controls are all on one board... when you take the audio system out you need not only the new knobs and bit of plastic at the front for the HVAC, but the circuits behind as well.

Replacing the panels with the ones from JDM is REALLY simple - don't worry about that bit!
