back in the fold...

Hi all
Had an MY03 wrx wagon back in 2003/2004 and loved every minute of it. Ultimately had to sell because of the trouble I had with attempted thefts while living in inner Sydney. I strayed for a few long years with first a BA XR8 (don't even get me started) and then a BA MKII XR6 turbo (huge improvement over the XR8 but ultimately flawed with too much power through rear wheels and so-so chassis). Bought both cars brand new and had problems with both - will never own / recommend an Australian Ford to anyone again. Am happy that I've now come back to my senses and have an MY08 Liberty GT Spec B wagon. Regal blue and stock standard and loving the drive. The best thing for me is the balance of great grip, power and comfort. Picked it up late last year and still can't wait to drive it each day. PICs attached.

Thanks for the welcome. The regal blue's are not that common - I've only seen a few around. They come up brilliantly after a good wax!

Agreed! I definitely want a regal blue GT as my next car. Black is just so boring. The regal blue looks bloody awesome IMO. Tis my favourite liberty colour. Now I just need to get rid of the damn swirl marks that the previous owner left kn my baby :(

edit: also, where are you based?

Welcome!

Nice looking wagon, and some interesting comments on the fords. I will probably be looking at a BA XR6 Turbo as a family car in the next few months as the lib isnt quite big enough for me (at 6'4" + kids). What issues did you have with yours? My dad has had one for the last 6 years with only the diff being a problem, which was fixed under warranty....

My favourite is the WRC Rally Blue that came on the JDM Legacy:

I'm wondering if I should spray mine that colour, since half the car is getting painted from the hail damage anyway... :D
