iPod connectivity and control with stock McIntosh unit

Postby abstar40 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 11:06 pm

Hi guys,

New to the forum - not sure if this has already been discussed but I am wondering if there are any ways to connect up an iPod (including controls) to an stock McIntosh head unit (2007 GT tuned by STi) besides the AUX?

Thanks

Hi there,

There is much in the forum about this.

A quick search turned up the following:

it can be done. i had it all done in melbourne about 10 months ago.... (in my MY07 GT with MCINTOSH)

however, getting the clarion EA151 box is a bit harder than you might think as its a little old - i know i struggled to find one.

Im happy to sell you my barely used one, as my dad doesnt really find a use for it anymore (the car is his)

contact me im happy to held

Hey Cyrus_b - thanks for your reply....
Yes I am very much interested! How much are you looking to sell it for? Also, is it easy to install and does it enable full iPod functionality through the McIntosh head unit?

So I take it there aren't any new advances from the EA1251? Even for the late (MY07-09) models?
