awsome. But how about updating the gps software to warn you when there is speed camera red light camera?

Also is it possible to connect a windows 7 laptop with the NAV system and use it's touch screen for windows 7?

Well after doing this little hack, I can say it is another step in getting the Nav unit heading towards the "how it should have been from the start".

I also would like to know if anyone has succeeded in finding out how to get the Nav unit to show speed and red light camera locations.

I believe from reading on another forum, there will be an upcoming firmware upgrade to fix the Bluetooth/Phone issues "checking disk error".

Glad the hack worked out well for you BYE911.

Got a link to the info re. firmware upgrade for the bluetooth issues?

Now all we need is some maps more up to date than 2008.

Guys, looking for a place to get hold of the cd rom internal analog audio cable? Tried a couple of car/electrical shops in Sydney cbd (jay car etc) but no joy! Any ideas?

Sorry to go thread digging guys, but I have only just got my butt into gear to do the hack. I am also having a b1tch of a time sourcing one of the connectors and don't have access to any old computers. If anyone has any spares I would be very appreciative if I could buy them off you. I got the hack working but without one of these connectors I couldn't get a solid connection, it was dropping in and out obviously.

Any help with a connector would be great.

Thanks,
Phil

Satnav hack done today. No more than 40 mins and two attempts at getting the wire seated, but awesome hack. Watch DVDs (passengers) on the move, full access to all menus and phone book etc. Great. Do it!
