Bugli's new toy

Postby bugli » Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:58 pm

Well... After waiting and saving for quite a while I finally got my lib!

Its a manual '03 RX, the windows have already been tinted and it has gen IV wheels (obviously :P) , it has some slight damage on the front bumper on the left and right sides but nothing that wont buff out :P

Upcoming mods:
Pedders sports ryder springs to "drop that sh*t"
Alpine HU
exhaust - im not after anything loud just a sporty note.

and most importantly my club.liberty sticker! :D

Nice colour, garnet red isn't it? The reds are so rare in the Gen IV I don't know why.

With a nice straighthrough muffler you should be able to get a nice boxer rumble of that engine since I'm pretty sure they run unequal length headers in the GenIII.

You should consider Eibach springs which work very well with stock dampers, which I assume you will be retaining since you did not mention upgrading them.

Thanks guys, I want to get the bumper fixed up first and then away I go :D

Hamish - Im very tempted to get the lip I just have to see how far the bank stretches

Tan - you'd be surprised, they are virtually carbon copies.

Jim - Can you please tell me more about the eibach springs (price and ride height if you know them - or possibly point me to where :D)

Im looking forward to the next cruise so i can give her a proper test run.

Full specs and where you can get them from!:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1953&hilit=eibach

They are a nice spring that give a mild drop and a little extra firmness but are designed to compliment the stock dampers. If you go for most other springs with stock dampers you may find the ride to be very harsh or underdamped.

man again, I am sure we can mix up my car with bugli's and drop mine :)

Man Car looks F**king hot, the wheels are a good item, are you looking to get new ones, or leave them, it looks nice as is, so i would suggest leave them for a little while. I am guessing the only real difference, is the black plasticy things behind my wheels on the side.

so its the RX2.5?

I was thing gb on springs and do both! lol

Im gonna get new ones but not for ages, I think they look good and I dont think there are any other gen III libs running gen IV wheels in canberra.

Sure is the 2.5 - plenty more power than the laser :P
