2.0T heads

Postby SKYHIONPSI » Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:24 pm

Hi guys

Just doing some basic research for myself. I have been told (2nd hand) that the heads on the 2L are quite restrictive when compared with the 2.5L heads or 2L heads from a wrx. Is there any truth to these claims or is someone telling porkies?

Also, what turbo comes standard on the 2L in auto/manual?

Cheers
Marty

The 2.0 heads have smaller combustion chambers compared to the 2.5 but don't know about different flow rates.

They seem to have smaller intake ports than the jap spec big port head, maybe for a higher port velocity and low down torque. Mine is jap spec and still has small ports too.

My head guy is really experienced with subaru heads but he said what are these solenoids near the exhaust cam. Ahhh, so that is what dual avcs looks like...
