As for private sales VS Dealer....its a topic been debated for a long time.

On a used car a dealer only HAS to give you a 3 month warranty (not saying thats all they will give you though...most of them are 12 months)...which yes, is better than nothing....but most dealers are going to try their hardest to get out of doing the warranty work anyway...or if they do it theyll do a half hearted job...thats just personal opinion anyway.

If its got its log books, the owner seems genuine and isnt a 18 y/o rev head then your probably just as well off buying private as dealer AGAIN in my opinion.

Another point iv found...alot of dealers use independent aftermarket "warranty" packages. These packages are BULLSHIT!!! :angry2: They are lying thieving tight arses that get out of paying up pretty much every time. They use their ridiculous rules to void your warranty, and even if you DO get a claim passed, they only cover tiny amounts (EG, $500 for gearbox). So they honestly aren't worth the paper they're written on. :angry2: So check what kind of warranty the dealer uses!

Welcome Phil!!

1. Is the 3.0L engine reliable? Ive had mine for 3months and so far power delivery is smooth thats all i can say
2. Is there a problem with most of them burning oil? Hasnt been any oil since ive bought it
3. Would the performance be on par with say a falcon or commodore? Depends
4. What are the other things like aircon, cruise, etc like.....guess quality? both works well
5. Can i put a baby seat in the back? (getting married next year and babies will happen.) im sure u can for a sedan, get a wagon so u can fit all the baby things in it
6. Any advantage or disadvantage over the 2.5T?well the H6 is great if u want "out of the box performance". If u're gonna mod it then go the GT
7. Does anyone in Wagga Wagga have one i could have a look at and possibly drive?nope

3. Would the performance be on par with say a falcon or commodore? Apples and oranges
4. What are the other things like aircon, cruise, etc like.....guess quality? Aircon works a treat even in 45c + conditions cruse is excellent
5. Can i put a baby seat in the back? (getting married next year and babies will happen.) Wear a condom or abstain
6. Any advantage or disadvantage over the 2.5T? Only disadvantage is all the 2.5T owners think theirs are better
7. Does anyone in Wagga Wagga have one i could have a look at and possibly drive? Wagga Wagga "O" you would be better off with a Holden Ute

Hey Phil,
I live in Wagga and I am thinking of selling my 08 Spec B 3.0R to get a new LIberty GT. Its a black auto with 40000km, vtune, rear exhausts and STI front and rear spoilers. Great car, just my lease is getting close to finishing. Let me know if you are still looking to get one.
