New rims for a Fugly 2010...?

Hey guys,

I've got a white 3.6l with 17" rims a masive 300C sized body, looks awkward. I have had a rear wing fitted and rear skirt with exhaust tips built in but she's not right!

Tossing up on some rims, 18" due to Sydneys goat track roads, looking at Enkei GTC01's or VOLK Racing Progressive TE or TenzoR Project7 Titanium Charcoal Version 1 or Emotion 11R's ???

Anyone had probs or found them cheaper somewhere, any hints greatly apreciated, really want Enkeis but have been quoted $650+ a RIM!!! + tyres!!

You said it right "300C sized body"... I'd be going for a minimum of 19-20's if you want to get the best overall look.

Have seen some pictures of the Gen 5's running the TB STI rims & they do look good (Mainly because they are lower significantly) but they do appear too small.

Search around the forum as there have been a few photo's of Gen 5's that have been modified posted

In terms of designs, I've always been a fan of the Prodrive GT1's (Last photo you posted).

Thanks for the info, I think 19"'s might bust the bank! Plus the roads in Sydney are just plain shithouse to drive on, dunno if the car could handle the rattles from 19" 's

+1 on the 19 inch or bigger.

Just save a little longer. Get your money's worth from the OEM tyres and wear them out a bit. so you can spend a bit longer saving for bigger rims. Will look much better imo.

Have been looking at these 19x8.5 Lenso DC5 Charcoal Grey V2 from Tempe Tyres http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=1199 They will do them for $1900 incl tyres Kuho Ecsta's, fitting balancing etc... Anyone heard good/bad about Lenso's?

Lenso's are ok. Not too terrible but also not at the premium end either. Unless you're worried about reducing every single bit of weight for track or racing, these will be fine for a daily driver. They'll probably be paired with the Kuho Ecsta KU31, which are a decent tire for the price.

Tempe Tyes are ok. They do very high volume of sales and employee a small army at their store, so their turnaround time is quite quick.

I have these on a Gen 4 in 18x8 45+ (no silver lip though) and they fill out the guards nicely. I got them 'cos they were cheap and my car is ocassionally driven by other people. I do really like the look of some of those Enkei wheels, they look like a good quality wheel for reasonable money.

I suppose it's a bit early to know what the maximum size and offset the MY10 can handle but 19x8.5 sounds like a good start. There's a photo of a MY10 with Sti Enkeis and the wheels look half-baked.

I'm currently shopping for new rims for a (black) Gen V too.
Personally, I've used Tempe Tyres twice in the past & never had any problems with them... you're usually in & out within 2 hours max.

I've had a look at the 19" packages on their website & nothing's really standing out for me.. St George Tyre & Auto, and Taleb don't appear to have anything really 'perfect' either.

I'd like a 6-spoke deep-dish in shadow-chrome.. if anyone knows of any other places with competitive prices, let me know.
