keeping stock amp

hey guys couldn't really find any definate answer about keeping the mcintoss amp with an aftermarket headunit.. would like to know if anyone has done it yet. just so i know if i'm going to be wasting my time without an aftermarket amp. thanks in advance, Lloydo

My experience tells me it's going to be cheaper to fit an aftermarket amp. $600 will get you a decent amp, and it'd probably get you labour cost in wiring the factory Mcintosh up with an aftermarket headunit.

i'm doing it myself so its not going to cost to wire it up, just wanna see if anyone had tried it before i do
