"Thanks for your questions, all the items are made based on the USDM vehicle. We do not guarantee fitment in the Euro style car, also if you do want to order it. The sea freight cost would be $480.00 USD to the closest sea port to you. And we could definitely do a better pricing."

any interest?

Our aluminium bonnets are already pretty damn light, so no I would not waste the money. Plus I have seen the gel coats blister and peel off from our hot Summers. Not sure if you can wax or otherwise add paint sealant to the gel coats to protect against this.

try this instead https://www.metrodecals.com/store/html/ ... index.html

It can be used on interior or exterior, wont harm you paint or cause you problems with the cops. I bought some of the
3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap for my exterior items and it looks awesome.

yeah i have the stuff around, its pretty difficult to get done right...ive posted another thread about getting cf stuff made vs using the film.

i posted a link to the bonnet more so because its as cheap as others ive seen made of the alu, and whilst i know a lot of the forum disagree im keenly searching for a gt bonnet for my blitzen.

is there someone around that stocks the std alu gt bonnets for cheaper?

Have you tried a wrecker to source a GT bonnet?

Also re that 3M DI-NOC CF vinyl it is reportedly the best on the market, but even then it is of limited outdoor lifespan about 3 years so you will eventually have to re-apply it. It is apparently pretty easy to apply neatly however if you don't trust your hands just get a signwriter who does vinyl signage to do it for you :).

Why do you want to replace the Blitzen bonnet, is it to have something different looking? As I mentioned the weight saving from CF is going to be minimal if any at all.

ive spoken to a few wrecker's, they all say the same thing....no chance. apparently subaru drivers like to only smash their cars from the front, and then as they are highly desirable they go pretty quick.

waiting on word back fro subaru sti to see if i can source a oem one but docklands never return my calls.

as for why im after one, the blitzen bonnet is just the stock 3.0 bonnet and i love the look of the gt bonnet

Just remember, CF bonnets are technically illegal... Well in NSW anyway :P

Those crazy Americans. Do they not realise Australia is not in Europe?!

I was under the impression that CF bonnets were illegal across the country. You can use a CF skin over your existing metel frame, however 100% CF is illegal because if you hit a pedestrian the CF shatters into a million little pieces. Not so good for the pedestrian. That said i've had friends with CF bonnets not get defected before, as always it depends on the cops on the day/night and their knowledge of defectable items.
Personally i'd just try to source a genuine GT bonnet.
