Dealership stiffed me. What do I do?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

I received an additional warranty/service book which apparently needs to be stamped when serviced in addition to the standard service book, as well as warranty schedule paperwork.

Hope this helps.

If the dealer promised 5 year warranty they should provide it.

However, I might be a bit dumb but what's the value of a 5 year warranty anyway?

What's going to break after 3 years that isn't gonna be put down to normal wear and tear? Not much I suspect. Especially not on a subey.

Has anyone ever got the benefit from an extended warranty?

I've had a new engine from big end bearing failure. Quite a few other people who drive the new Liberty's have had their engines replaced too. I'm very glad I have the 5 year warranty :D
Subaru's used to be unburstable but I think the quality has dropped in recent years.

Yeah but Lib 3 litres are usually replaced within the first 12 months...

I honestly do not see the value in an extended. Even my lemon Holden I had years ago was going OK by end of warranty. I tend to swap every 3 years now though so warranty is a moot point.

Sent off polite but firm email to dealer principal this morning, no reply as yet but hey could be having day off , giving it to monday arvo then if no response contact Subaru Aust , and then dept fairtrading.
GT 2.5 Reason I am pushing is that my wife bought a B4 that was 18mths old from a non-subaru dealer,so had 18mth warranty left, dealer offered to purchase extension of Subaru warranty, thus her company had effectively a car leased with a 3yr warranty. Anyway after the normal warranty had expired but not extension the Brant alarm started to chuck a wobbly, took it to SVM lindfield , not a quibble , fixed once then another issue and got the alarm company to come out and fix, both SVM and Brants rang within the next fortnight to check all ok so yeh I reckon its worth it for that sort of service and peace of mind
Also why am pushing it is.... I am in the right and unusually this time the consumer has it in writing so I can prove it, how many times has it happenned or will happen that they promise something to get a sale and then get some young kid to sign and then say "hey was not in contract"
will update when I have news
Thanks for all the advice/help Guys
