shocks for 05 GT sedan

I have an 05 GT which now has 107,000 k's on it - after getting in and driving it today (since my second car is a new car) I really noticed the suspension was so much softer etc.
Just looking for some advice as to whether it is time to replace the shocks and or the springs & what type of costs are involved.
The car is used as a daily driver by my wife - so am not looking to lower it specifically. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

If you are just looking to replace the shocks with something standard (probably recommended if wife drives it) KYB are the supplier for Subaru. If you buy KYB ones they are the same as Subaru OEM but a lot cheaper. You will notice a big difference with new shocks as its unlikely that your current have been replaced and would have done 100,000km already and be knackered.

Or if you are after something sportier you can keep an eye out for some second hand Bilstein's, sometimes a bargain can be had in the 'For Sale' section. Keep your eyes open.

at 107kkms the stock dampers would be fairly far gone. If you upgrade to Koni or Bilstein dampers but retain stock springs you will notice much improved road holding but little detriment on ride quuality.

The stock dampers are very under damped on the compression stroke.

Budget around 1800 for Konis or 2000 for Bilsteins, both are fitted price
