One thing I actually noticed, is that mine retains the same setting even after switching the engine off. I.e. I set it for SP3 and after engine is off and back on, it reverts back to SP3.

This behaviour is different to NTD's advertising info, and also the owners manual as well, whereby the mode is meant to reset to Normal when you restart the engine.

(I prefer for it to stay at the custom setting like it's doing now).

Thanks for reminding ppl.This is an important part of the kit.
Actually, the manual says the last setting on ETC will be retained as a memory after you turn off the engine.

Received the unit today, very well packaged and quick delivery.
Ghetto install took 5mns but will get around installing it like Jim did. Just came back from a 30mn drive and I can definitely feel the difference in throttle response. SP7 is pretty jerky in stop start traffic as I need to relearn the throttle. I too fried the clutch on sp7 taking off from lights.
I've left it on sp5 and will see how I go on the way to work tomorrow via the Westgate car park.

All good Panson the instructions were pretty ambiguous I couldn't really follow the engrish that well he he he. The diagrams were helpful though. I prefer that it holds my setting so I don't have to reset it every time I start the car.

How exactly do you tap into the fuse box?
From the pics it looks as though you just pushed the wires into the front of the fuse.

yep remove the fuse then stick wire into hole which is the fused side. Push fuse back in to secure the wire. This only works with thin gauge wires.

Thanks for the clarification. So which is the fused side?

It's the side that doesn't have power when the fuse is removed. (the side which does have power is the hot/unfused side)

HI guys, just got mine today install took about 1 hr due to the fact I wanted it neat first time round
Set the Throttle Pos and cranked her over.
Got the CEL and criuse Flashing and kinda went into 'limp home' mode. wouldn't rev above 2,500rpm.
so i reset module and set again.
still CEL and Cruise flashing...
went back and re-read the instruction and and down the bottom of the trouble shhoting page it says to start the car, on-off,on-ff,on-off a couple of times to reset the CEL and cruise.
after about the 7th time cranked her over and no LIGHTS!!! Has this happened to anybody else?
Went for a quick squirt and def. noticed the difference...
SP3-5 seemed the go for me I'm pretty sure the hesitation of the DBW has almost become non existant.
Next couple of days will tell

I will say this to everyone.

Changing the throttle behaviour is great. But the 3R's does not work good on your fuel, allow the performance of the car all over the place. If doing the throttle is great, you should really look into tuning the car too.

Yup, it's been talked about in previous threads. If the CEL + Cruise lights aren't due to faulty hardware like the O2 sensor, then it should go away on the 6th on/off. Good to see you're happy with the results! However if the CEL + Cruise lights come on again and frequently, you should look into a proper tune as west_minist suggests.

Let me say things a little differently as one may think I am pushing hard to sell or make money.

Changing the throttle position to that of requring or encouraging a greater level of engine response, means in a particular sense, more from the engine, hitting area of the operations of the car, which would not be access in certain conditions.

Because of the fuel requirements of the car, which is a little higher than what is local, you will find when logging or reviewing the engine performance, you find a wide range of performance in small changes in time.
