I've had to make an unexpected trip back to Melbourne, so I might pop in, although can't stay for lunch. Been about 6 months since I drove the Lib.. been driving a truck (Pajero) over here.. can't wait!!

Add me to the list. It will probably just be me. Though I may try and convince a mate to come along.

Buuuuugger! The wife has just informed me that I have an appointment at 8am in Mornington!! That finishes at 10.30... I reckon it'll take me 45mins to get home and then another 30mins to get to Jells. That means 12pm arrival... What time were we having lunch??

I think 12 noon should be fine for eats. 10am onwards will be setting up the gazebos, checking out the latest mods, and chin wagging ;)

We'll probably have to play it by ear on the day, to see where we can grab a number of carparks next to each other.
Is anyone familiar with the park, and which areas tend to fill first?
I've been there a couple of times, for some AGM's of another club that were held in the kiosk building each Februry, but I don't know the rest of the park very well.

Im interested in coming down to this melb meet. What kind of stuff do you guys do on them? just meet up for lunch and have a chat and take some photos? or do you all do all that then go for a cruise or?

we should orginise a race day sometime just for some fun to compete against each other.

If you are interested in a race day we should all sign up for a Driver Dynamics day. Then it requires minimal organising (organising a track day is a big job).

If you are member of a cams affiliated car club and have a cams license (easy to get) you can go to many track days with any club.
If you have a turbo subaru you can join the WRX club, they do about 7 or 8 track days each year, plus a few joint motorkhana's with the skyline club.

The Ford Four car club have lots of days, as do Gippsland car club, and MG Car Club (go Ric!). If you feel like Philip Island look up 'PIARC' and see when the next track day is there.

Alternatively, alot of the tracks do many 'practice days' on a Fridays for those who wanted to skip a day of work and have some track time (untimed), also, there is actually a 'Fun Day' at Winton on the 13th Dec. Only $30 for an introduction to motorsport, no need to enter just turn up early with your helmet!

It's only a meetup, chat and meal planned for this SundaySaturday. If a few people want to go for a cruise afterwards, they're more than welcome :)
There's talk of a drive sometime in January, no date finalised yet.
