Had the GT a few weeks now and have a few plans to personalise it. So far just a few minor treatments to list.

Dead stock MY04 GT Premium pack wagon.

Brakes painted by hand (spraypaint FTL) with Killrust gloss black just to neaten them up.

I have these wheels on the way from Japan and will be adding a mesh grille, Hanabi LED taillights and some JDM aftermarket rear mufflers soon also.

Looks good. Go team wagon. What wheels are they if you don't mind me asking? What grille are you getting?

Cheers Neil. They are AUDM WRX Club Spec 9 wheels or JDM Gen4 Legacy B4 wheels. 18" x 7" +55.

Im after the oem sports mesh grille, but while im waiting for one to pop up, I decided to make my own out of the original factory grille.

A bit of dremel work and paint and Im quite happy with the result. :D

Looks good Mark! That's a lot of progress in such a short amount of time! :D

I think the only thing I can suggest is that you also look into the suspension, specifically the lowering of it. For you can customise and modify the heck out of your car, but if it still looks like you can fit a small child's head between the fender and the wheel, there's only so much admiration you can garnish before people realise it's still sitting on stock height. And the more you accessorise, the more attention will be paid and the more focus will be put on the stance. Don't get me wrong, if you're after a sleeper look with stock suspension then by all means go for it! But generally a lower, more aggressive stance tends to complement any non-stock modifications.

Just a thought.

Cheers guys. :D

Im considering suspension, but its not my car actually, its the wifes/family car. I really dont want to lower it just yet (she was driving a 4WD and has to get out of the "drive over everything" mentality. :D ). I love the look of it lower, but time will see what I do.

If I do down the track, it will be Bilsteins and STi pinks for the suspension, as its currently what i have in my Legacy GT and its a really good setup.

Ive lowered every car ive ever had (inc the 4WD) and definitely agree that the correct stance makes the car. I'll revisit it after the 18's are on.

Yeh, just to personalise it a little and make it different from the majority on the road.

The goodies coming from Japan (plus a few new bits also) should help to achieve this. :D

Great work on the grill. Great to see someone making something rather than buying it which is what modding your car is really about. It this kind of custom work that sets your cars apart from others.
