Does anyone know if for the exhaust any more than the catalytic converter on the downpipe and middle section are required?

Currently Dyno'ed at 142.7kW from a stock tuned 2.0T Auto. Any one care to make an estimate on what kinda numbers I would get with this set up?

- Rallitek HD swaybar endlinks front and rear (hopefully the group buy goes ahead)
- Whiteline roll centre adjust kit
- Urethane 20mm bushes for stock front swaybar

Wishlist:
- Additional stock wheel so I can combine with my spare wheel to fit Kumho KU36 semi-slicks to, for fitment onto the front of the car for track events.
- Oil filter sandwich plate and Defi oil pressure + oil temperature gauges in cubby hole.
- Tint sunroof glass
- STI (replica) front lip
- Polyurethane GT-style sports grill

Yeah - Hawk pads look the goods. I would have liked to try the Ceramic ones. Maybe next time.

I have the phat dump pipe with which has good quality high flow cat in it plus I have a small hot dog (resonator) in the centre pipe and hitech quads. No need for anything further imo, no drone and pretty quiet at idle but plenty of dak dak rumble when the happy pedal is pushed. Not sure what a tuned 2 ltr auto will make with all those mods but I suggest probably no more than 175 kw depending on what dyno is used.

Although I agree thats a lot to spend on a 2.5i, there are some over exaggerations in price, as well as parts that can be carried over to a new car if he chooses:

Stage 1 – Lowering – Springs - $500 Fair Price
Stage 2 – Roll Guards - $100 Only 2 guards but may not need to be done
Stage 3 – Rims/Tyres - $3000 Can be carried to a GT Later
Stage 4 – Brake Callipers Paint - $100 DIY for $30 I would say
Stage 5 – STI Front Lip - $700 Again, carry over or sell separate
Stage 6 – Number Plates - $420 yeah, sunk money
Stage 7 – HID Kit - $300 Just get blue vision globes!!, 1/3 the cost
Stage 8 – Pedal Kit - $250 can carry over
Stage 9 – Exhaust - $2000 waste of $$ for little gain. Get a set of mufflers only that can be carried over

My list is simple:

Wheels *done*
Springs *bought, yet to be fitted*
20% Tint all round $350
Open source Tune *Free with help from Tuner in the US *

So yeah, funds spent will be limited over the next 18 months of ownership, at which point car will become 100% wifes car so not looking to do *too* much to it.

Blue vision globes with parkers are actually $60 so 1/5th the cost. Plus the fact that HID retrofitted to a non HID lens is illegal. Painting the calipers yourself will prob cost more like $40-50 in the end. You'll need to clean em up a bit prior to painting.

Too true. HIDs are overrated. Just get a set of Crystal Vision if the Blue Visions aren't white enough for you. If you really want improved vision, get the Xtreme Vision and pair of 4000k LEDs. Either way, you should spend money on coil-overs rather than springs cause ride quality will be compromised once you reduce the travel of the shocks, and eventually, you'll have to replace them anyways.

I must admit, the 2.5i could do with a louder exhaust system and I'd agree again, just get mufflers. My problem is, I'd need a single mass clutch conversion first. My rims also need a machining of the lips cause the previous owner did a fair bit of damage to each wheel

No audio upgrades? Tint?
