Clarion EA1251 for MY06 Liberty

I just sold mine, sadly, it would have been easy to sell and install to someone local... blame Russell for that one

Well thats what im trying to find out. It still says its an EA1215, so im wondering its if kind of just like a newer and/or cheaper version? If its still clarion and its still a EA1215 then i dont see why it wont? I cant seem to find a pic of the plug on a normal EA1215s to see if its the same. Anyone help?

That's not what the EA1251 looks like. It is a metal box with CLARION written on the case.

That would make sense. I was sold the unit in the previous post with a complete Macintosh system, and told it was an EA1251. I haven't fired it up yet (need to buy an iPod).

I have just removed my EA1251 as I have just removed my MacIntosh stereo for the same NAV unit as Clarence. On a 2008 Liberty GT tuned by STI it worked with an Iphone 3G. It did not charge. I am willing to sell it if you wish. It is under 6 months old.

As recent as August I received the Clarion EA1251 from USA (approx $100 AUD). It works great although it loses some volume.
The folders are a pain to set up and control of them is limited BUT it is a pleasure to listen to my old tape recordings on random.(see attachment for folder set up).

PLUS I received a Clarion CLR-AUX (approx $100AUD)(see URL) to patch in audio from the kids DVD Player (this volume perfect).

It must be noted, the CLR-AUX will not work unless it detects signal from an ipod (via the EA1251 in this case).

If any one would like more details that may not have been answered in other posts, just let me know.

hey all.... i know this is an old thread but i just discovered that some suzuki swifts (i just scored on off a 2008 RE2 model) come with the clarion ea1251 from factory. im not 100% sure is it comes stock or an optional extra, but al least we can start looking for them in other forums
