Front end noise after front swaybar fitted

Postby dwayne » Sun Nov 01, 2009 1:42 am

Hi all,

I've had my rear swaybar fitted for probably 4 or 5 months now, and didn't notice anything unusual in the noise department after it was fitted.

I finally got around to getting my front fitted last week, and have noticed that I get the occasional "clunk" from the front end, either going up or down curbs (driveways) or tightish turns at reasonable speed (30+). Is this normal whilst the front settles in ? It seems to be happening with decreasing regularity, but I'm still a bit concerned.

Endlinks are standard.

Any advice ?

Cheers

Dwayne

Needs the endlink nuts tightened. Mine did the same thing.

+1

Brought it back to the shop and they tightened it up in 5 min. Fixed the problem.

Thanks all, I've got to take it back for a new tyre (goodbye Mr Pirelli, I knew you well) and wheel alignment, so will get them to fix whilst they're at it !

Cheers

There is a nut on each side (of the car). In order to tighten them you need to use an allyn key to hold the screw in place (its kinda like a grub screw) then tighten the nut. At least that's what I have on my 2008...
