HELP - some fuckers damaged my car

Postby bonski » Thu Jun 28, 2007 9:05 pm

Arrive back to my car

Mirror is smashed.

Indicator is hanging, casing is all busted up and looks like it was run over.

Indicator is working. Mirror is still working.

Whats my best course of action.

Do I order new indicator and new casing or do I get a whole replacement unit.

Where is the best place to get these parts.

Regards
Ben

Im 100% not claiming a passenger side mirror on insurance.

Im also not interested in vengance (solely because I have no chance of finding the culprit)

Me want new mirror so I dont look like a povo driving around with a taped up mirror.

Dont go insurance man!

Just buy the part.

If you go insurance its a at fault claim as there was no other party in which u can recover the cost of repairs from. Impacts ur excess.

cheaper to source ur own part and replace it.

sorry i just got a mental image of this and found it quite humerous.. someone seeing themselves getting the shit smacked out of them...

mind you, its not a cool thing to see that.. like the general concensis, i would suggest a replacement part, leave insurance way out of this.. mind you, unless your excess is cheaper! ha ha

From experience the mirror and casing will cost a lot more than the excess (my excess=$450).

On Honda I had a few years ago when it happened to me the mirror and casing cost around $1000. No brainer really.

If you make a Police report it shouldn't effect your rating or your insurance costs at all unless it was parked at home or where you work. We all know that it didn't happen there right?

Not fitted - dont know how much they would charge but its a do it yourself job.

It comes already coloured.

Doesn't matter now cause Phat is on the case.
