Ok snail guru's give me some feedback if you know much about Zage Turbochargers. They make a TD05-20G-8 with a flange face that bolts straight on to my Liberty. The price and delivery are right for me :D

SP5652
The ZAGE SP5652 features a TD05H-20G center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), newly redesigned 8cm² compressor housing, and 20G aluminum alloy reverse compressor wheel, all designed to deliver an impressive 40% performance gain over the Subaru Impreza, WRX and STI factory-installed turbocharger. The SP5652 eliminates unwanted turbo lag while delivering in excess of 420HP performance.

Application :

EJ20 / EJ25
Compressor :

Journal Bearing
Model: TD05H-20G-8
Flange: STD Subaru triangle
Actuator: 1 BAR
Application: EJ20 / EJ25 (IMPREZA / WRX / STI)
Wheel Diameter: 52.5 / 68mm
CFM: 640
Turbo :

MAX HP: 420+
Turbine :

Wheel Diameter: 49.2 / 56mm
A/R: 57
Nozzle Area: 8cm²

Well, this thread never reall ygot off the ground.

The TD05 with a 20G housing for the 2.5T seems to be what the VF28/34 for the 2.0T!!!

You'd want good breathing mods in front of the intake valves to ensure the best possible spool response, otherwise you may end up with a bit too much lag.

What goals do you want from a turbo this size? Raw power, dyno numbers or a faster drive? Once you start trading low end torque, you really got to consider the purpose of the car. Would you ocnsider changing cams to get the most airflow from the turbo? TGV deletes perhaps?

Don't spose you can get a graph of power/torque v's RPM and psi v's RPM ?
Also, what was the engine capacity?

Some of the RSLC guys have found that on anything larger than a 2.0 that the td05 exhaust wheel tends to choke the the flow at about 210-220atw. If (when) I fit a td series to my 2.5 I'll be using a td06sl2. Many guys have noticed no difference between the td05 and td06SL2.

No offence but the rslc don't know what they are talking about then. There are differnt types of td05 from 16 to 20g. A 20g can and gas made 230 at wheels on Both 2 and 2.5. Ts06sl2 you will wanting to be making some serious power to warrant it that big plus lag will be noticeable if u don't run some serious boost. For 2.5s a 05-20g is a good turbo option. Specially stock internals

No difference in peak power maybe, but a massive difference in spool.

In fact I'd take the TD05 on anything up to a 10sqcm housing. It certainly won't be holding back this particular turbo.
