20" WHEELS

Ive got 20's on my Gen4 sedan and have no problems with scrubbing lock to lock
20 x 8.5 with 45mm offset
Cars lowered about 2"
Rear has been rolled (has to) but fronts are ok so far
And yes, tyres are 225/30, not 215/35 mentioned early in the post

What's the offset? How wide will the wheels be? Is your car lowered? These will determine whether scrubbing/rubbing will occur. If your car is lowered, you'll need to at least roll the fenders in the front. If it's not lowered, it's going to look ridiculous running 20's.

That is very wise advise from Jim, if you run 20" rims & the tires are not tucking or close to it they look crap......
I had my wheels on for about a week but took them off until i got it lowered a month later because they looked so ridiculous on a standard height vehicle.

looks good mate !! how much did u lower ur ride height ? did u just use lowering springs and what brand ?
i have the bilstein suspension and im pretty sure ive read somewhere that some springs arnt compatible?

I used Tein coil-overs, & lowered the rear as much as the rear coil-overs would allow then lowered the front to match.
I think its approx 60mm all round from memory, I choose the coil-overs because I wanted exact control over the ride height, from experience spring ride height that the manufacturer quotes is only an approximate then sags over time.
A TIP for setting your ride height is not to go by the guards but use the sills as the guide to determine the front & rear height

hhmm coilovers can be rather expensive!!! i would probably just go for lowering springs as much as i dont want to though !!
looks like i have a few things to consider first lol

yeh i would def go coil overs now that i got the springs, having the control of the exact height you want and a shock to match is priceless. I wanted my car lower than what it sits at, but cant do anything about it with just springs

I lowered my front 5mm lower than the rear. Upsets the front/rear balance a bit but it looks pretty even.
