I HAVE AN STI

Postby lilbeefer » Mon Feb 24, 2014 11:07 pm

I never though I would admit it on a public forum, but its true... I have an STI. My criteria for a long time has come down to this: wagon(not SUV), manual, practical, sporty and subtle. I was keeping an eye out for a decent spec B when 193/250 appeared on carsales. In the end I got my wishes.

If I could pick any car, it would be a concourse condition Audi RS2. Of course that will never happen, so the Liberty TBSTI it is. I love it!

Thanks guys!

I can only guess the previous owner broke it off. I don't know where to get a replacement. All 4 Enkeis are gutter rashed too but I can get that fixed relatively cheap...

yeah, fair call...

But the below statement is absurd:

prob easier finding sti as a good spec b is hard to find

Aside from the fact that there were way more Spec B's produced, tbSTIs also cost more and, due to their comparative rarity, are therefore more likely to have been better maintained, at least cosmetically.
Newbie posted in another thread about how Spec B's were much better than tbSTIs too but couldn't explain why.... Clearly he has one, and wishes he'd bought the latter!

Welcome!

BTW, there is a perfect RS2 for sale at the moment... Pretty damn expensive though. Saw it in the flesh a few weeks ago & it's a real head turner - For better or worse :P
