I drag mine out occasionally now, mainly for navigation, and GPS speed seems ok. Registers zero when I stop moving and a slight lag when I start moving again, but that is normal.
Are you familiar with the limitations of radio signal propogation?

It wouldn't record logs or screenshots, and in and around trying to update or repair it I lost the supplied iGo as well.
Once I downloaded the backup (keep a backup copy of that too) I still had the issue, even after applying the software update from the ECUds site.
The problem was corrupt data in the logs folder which I could not delete.
I reformatted the supplied 2GB card, copied the backup to it along with the software update and all was good.
Except that applying the software update apparently destroys some part of the iGo functionality...
So I just recopied the iGo folder from the backup to the SD card, overwriting the card's iGo folder.
As for the mount, my dock part cracked with very little provocation (I bent it a little to see how much "give" it had!)...
Luckily the crack was not all the way through, I roughed up the back of the dock with sandpaper and super-glued triangle shaped reinforcing braces cut from plastic board to each side adjacent the mount slot.
So the ECUds rocks... except mine is still prone to crashing when I'm giving the car a squirt - any suggestions for a fix?
I'm also investigating a DIY center dash top pod to house it, as my dash cubby has OEM nav inside.
The ECUds was great when I had radiator problems recently, being able to see the exact coolant temps (prior to radiator replacement) was a godsend!
