HKS panel filter

so, for someone who has fairly little mechanical knowledge (oh lets just say.. me?), how good would this be for me to whack onto my stock 2.5i 04 liberty?

and would it be hard to do? haha.. for best results is there anything else i should take out or use instead or whatever?

1) Dry Panels dont need to be cleaned as much, just use a compressor, give it a gentle blow clean, I would use it for a couple of years before ditching it (or selling the car )



2) Bull$hit.. think about it, you have applied a light oil to a cloth and metal gause, and then your sucking air through it, it makes sense that over time drops of oil will come off.. Over oiling will only accellerate the process, & Yes.. I have killed a MAF, in my old Forester.. $220 later, car went like a dream, but the pockets where empty!

Thanks suff, yep that makes sense. I figured that would be the case but preferred not to put words in peoples mouths. So this brings me to another two questions...
(1) How many cleans can the HKS handle before it needs to be disposed?
(2) I've heard suggestion that the K&N's are only a problem of your over-oil the filter. Clearly whether or not you over-oil your filter would be trial & error and at your risk. Has anyone actually stuffed the MAF sensor in a Subaru because of a K&N filter?

sounds a little louder, when your up in the rev range with resonator off..

resonator removal will make a bigger smile.

tom, for such a cheap mod it's WELL worth it.
not saying that it's gonna be a huge difference that'll make it feel like a turbo but when i put one on my n.a 2.0 there was what felt like a 5 to 10% difference.

these HKS panels will do the job fine

there made for the GT and 30.RB they will flow more than enough for the 2.5 NA

these are washable and no oil is needed after washing
