1) Dry Panels dont need to be cleaned as much, just use a compressor, give it a gentle blow clean, I would use it for a couple of years before ditching it (or selling the car

)
2) Bull$hit.. think about it, you have applied a light oil to a cloth and metal gause, and then your sucking air through it, it makes sense that over time drops of oil will come off.. Over oiling will only accellerate the process, & Yes.. I have killed a MAF, in my old Forester.. $220 later, car went like a dream, but the pockets where empty!

(2) I've heard suggestion that the K&N's are only a problem of your over-oil the filter. Clearly whether or not you over-oil your filter would be trial & error and at your risk. Has anyone actually stuffed the MAF sensor in a Subaru because of a K&N filter?
