Perth meet and detail day Sat May 16th

Postby GTSPECB STI » Mon Apr 20, 2009 6:48 pm

I thought I would start the ball rolling to see if there is interest in having a detail day. I am happy to host it as I have access to a large yard, plenty of parking and undercover garages. I also have a pretty good set up with a karcher spray cleaning system for those that are interested.

I have looked at the calender and propose Saturday May 16th as its the day before Rexpo at Barbagallo's and my Lib will be getting the full detail.

Cheers
Dave

edit: UPDATE 14/05/09

Saturday May 16th from NOON

Detail day is a go at Switzerland this Saturday. We parking for like 12 if need be but I would appreciate a PM from all who are coming over for detailing.

Cheers Dave

Sat or Sunday in May? hmm, I'll be stuck in Kambalda on the 16th/17th and have the option of going to Perth for the weekend if I want....

Great idea Dave !!

Sounds good to me, I can bring another Karcher, foam gun, got a few of the Subaru lambswool mits etc. Depends what your water pressure is like for two Karchers unless you use gravity fed bucket ?

I've got a clay bar too, but no idea how to use it :-).

That would be great to meetup Smythie, although I probably won't be washing too much that weekend, I get mine back from the panelbeaters on the 15th :-)

Could fit my swaybars with Chris though...

I've got a mate from work who just bought a black MY07 GTB last week with a nice set of canons on it - plate GT07WA - was it anyone's from here ? Anyway he took it to a BP carwash on the weekend and was asking me about all the scratches that seemed to be new.....

I nearly cried when he told me

It'd be nice but too much hassle flying back and forth I think. Think I'll just vegetate in the quarters

Was listed for $42,500 I think - had:
Extras-
HKS Hi power silent exhaust
Factory Sat Nav
Window tint
Alarm with interior sensors
STI front lip spoiler
Ipod Jack
Air duct- hi flow air cleaner-HKS

20,000K's, and I think it only did 2,000 K's in the past 10 months.

My mate is pleased as punch with it !

I know the previous owner. He would have looked after it pretty well, but always thinks his gear is worth a bit more than everyone else's :)

Glad it went to someone who is happy with it :)

Would be interested in attending, and the proposed date is pretty clear at the moment.

Breakin @ Galleria - see thread http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?t=3959

They need my lib for 11 days to fix - door resprays and front guard repair and respray.

To top it off, the ****wits at Windscreens O'Brien in Canning Vale, after originally putting an aftermarket drivers window in (hey guys, didn't you notice it kinda, didn't, you know, go up and down properly??), then replaced it with genuine. They also damaged the door trim and window switch insert with their "pick" tool. As if that wasn't enough, they were also completely careless with whatever they used to remove the glass shards from the bottom of the window, and rippled along half the length of the door at the bottom. That little bit of carelessness is costing them about $1300 - those door trims and inserts are pretty expensive !!

Awesome, cheers. I've asked suff is he's coming too, so he can do some sway bar fitting. James seems keen as well :-).

I'll be fitting my LED's that day as well, if anyone else is interested...

Hey Dave,

Yeah i'm interested... why is it the guys with black liberty's are the most keen, haha.

I've got subaru washmit, clay bar, polish, etc. Do we just bring our own stuff and wash our own cars? or do one car at a time and we all help?
