Personally i stay away from Pioneer and Kenwoods entry/mid range gear, they are just terrible. You will just end up disappointed I think, because with such a small driver, you are going to want excursion to move the air. I would look at the Polk, JL Audio has 8 inchers in the W1, W3 and W7 range (the W3 range are a fantastic driver for the money). Don't forget about Digital Designs, they are a mean woofer for their size. ID are a very good brand and make some fantastic speakers. You will want something fairly sensitive with the lack of power the Mac amp provides. If it were my dosh I would go:
DD
JL W3
ID
Polk
JL W1
Something
Anything
Nothing
Pioneer
Kenwood
You can also look into getting a new sub box made up, they are relatively cheap. That increases your options up to a decent sensitive 10'' or even 12'' sub. The new box wouldn't have to take up much more room than stock if the installer/fabricator knows what they are doing. Again, FHRX is your friend.
