Low Lib's

Postby AB501UT!0N » Thu Oct 13, 2011 10:21 pm

I'm planing on lowering my liberty soon to 100mm off the ground and I want some
pics of people who are running at the same height so I can see what it looks like.
Any and all pics would be great :) Stance is Everything

I disagree there's a point where it just looks stupid. Perfect stance for me on most cars is just flush with the wheel arch

Totally agree with hamish here

Also if you go to low you'll be forever draping and scratching your front bar, possibly the exhaust and undercarriage

Don’t forget if you’re after the right stance your wheel/tyre size and offset choice will make a big difference.

I originally had my car lowered on the Phat GT ed Tein’s with the my08 TB STI wheels (18*7.5+55) running a 225/40r18, the wheels sat too far into the guards, I now have Cusco Zero 2e’s fitted with 07 tb sti wheels in 18x8+48 with 238/40r18’s and stance has completely changed, the wheels now fill the guard and are almost flush with the outer guard…… but the best part about the change was increase in size to 235’s.

Sorry no pic’s handy
Not a soobi anymore, but still slightly dirty

+1 can completely change the look

And Darren I agree, your car looks so sweet!! All comes down to wheel/tyre choice

Thanks guys for all your helpful responses and yes same here right wheel size and offset makes a big difference and Pedders have given me a quote today for Extreme XA Coilover Kit for 2,169.00 including install which is a fair bit otherwise I would get just Sports Ryder Coil springs which will cost 1,100 including to rear gas shockers which I need, which way do you think I should go? And thanks for the pic of ur sex on wheels B4 :) And also I have got 17-7 rims which Im kicking myself now that I did not got for 18's but such is life!

Get a set of BC BR's (which are the same as Pedder's sell, but they put a sticker on them) for $1300 from Just Jap.
Put them in yourself.
Go for a drive, re-adjust the height on all the corners so they are the same and re-adjust the dampening to what you want.
Get the car aligned.

I just saved you $800 or so.

Thanks for your input everyone and I have ordered some rear bushes for my car which I needed and also dba 4000 series 6x6 slotted rotors and also sports Ryder springs and not coil overs due to moneys and the pedders springs were going to be like 1600 so not much difference but I do not have the skill to install the coil overs myself unfortunately and if i tired I would brake something lol Any who I will post up pics on the 7 on NOV when I get it all done. :)

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the late post, I have been working late every night so I have not had a chance to put these up.
Here are the pics of the brakes I got done, dba 4000 series 6x6 slotted rotors that have made quite a big
difference in my cars braking ability and I also got my trailing arm bushes fixed :) Next week I'm going to
speak to my mechanic regarding getting BC coilover so I can lower my car about 2 inches so I can have stance :)
