Did the same thing in my Nissan Pulsar... Was wet and i understeered straight into the curb. Except i was beating a V8 commodore at the time, so was happy with that effort (big pieces of shit

Anyway, haven't been "smart" (:P) enough to try that in my new AWD, i just couldn't see it understeering like that, you must have been crruuiising! It'll definitely cost you less than $600! Especially if you did it yourself! Lower control arm should only set you back about $100, plus $50 for a wheel alignment and a couple of hundred for a new rim!

Doesn't take much to rip a lower control arm out btw, so long as you have some basic tools that every shed should have!
