The sensor on the turbo side is a pain to get to from memory? Mine were easy to get to since I don't have tmic or air pump system....
Cam sensors are $230-$250 each? Ebay Celtic motors sells them way cheaper... I didn't get charged for labour so can't give you a guestimation price.....
They are hall effect sensors? magnetic type i think? They detect the slot triggers on the camshaft which are fixed, Don't think the sensors require cleaning? Unless your engine oil has metal fibers in it....
To test and check them would be to log them on how they trigger, check connections, measure resistance in the cables voltage/current values and compare between left and right?
