You should get a tactrix ASAP, ill send you my standalone logging profiles.
Forget all mods till you establish the overall health of your car at least.

Agreed.
I don't know where you find the patience ben!
One thing: glamour tune? I know MSR isn't as cheap as say torqued or kido, but he's FAR cheaper than others?

MSR dyno tune is less than half the price of the crappy MRT Ecutek road tune.
Newbie, I added a VF52, intake and =L headers and I jumped 30kw (200kw).
Lag is definitely a lot more noticeable.
Mine went from full boost at 2700rpm to 3400rpm with the VF52. (see my profile dyno graphs).
The intake reduces lag, headers and bigger turbo increases lag.

Newbie GT wrote:Thanks Peter,
So it seems yes more power but not as responsive till later on in rpm ?

I found spool to be very similar to the VF46 but you got that bit more up top where as the 46 ran out of puff.

That's pretty good for a 98 tune
On e85 that'd be 2500-2600 I'd say

Yep that's why MSR is a "glamour tune"
Jackson: that WRX probably has bigger injectors?
Anyhow with some more research we could put together a taxonomy of upgrades/supporting mods/results.
No wait I think Rome has one here!
PoidaGT wrote:Yep, its no where near as responsive down low as the standard turbo.
I think the headers also make a big difference to lag.
I would be interested to retune my car with the standard headers to see what the difference is.

So EL headers and stock turbo is backwards step in most regards?
