Hi Guys
Ill be upgrading to a FMIC shortly, (in preperation for a turbo upgrade) just wondering if anyone here has run a FMIC on the stock turbo before? if so, after tune what sort of numbers where you getting?

Nobody said anything about losing power, and yes you will gain, but you will get lag, and lose bottom end. You can compensate that with a tune to advance timing to a certain degree, but it's physical lack of volume until your turbo spins up.PHAT GT wrote:OH! have you ever seen a post saying i fitted a FMIC to my Lib and lost power or had no gains?

On the other hand... good thing it's a small turbo because it should get to building full boost sooner :p

I should clarify and quantify my statement, in fear of looking like someone with 'no experience' or someone who 'talks shit' and has 'no experience'.PHAT GT wrote:LAG IS OVER RATED

I am getting a customer made I/Cbar and plate,.. I have had a look at a few of his other setups and it looks very very good..
My two main concerns are:
a) pressure drop.. there has to be a certain amount, but how much.. (ie what have people experienced in drop (psi)
b) modifcations to the front grill.. I have opted for a black I/C as I am keen to avoid any un necessary attention.. dont want to hack half of the bumper off!
On a side note.. an AVO turbo will be installed later to support the new exhaust, FMIC and custom tune (will be retuned to suit, and upgraded injectors & fuel pump will go in at the same time)
