I too have suffered from the injector issue that seems to be a common problem with the first of the Gen4 Lib GTs. I had the CEL light come on / off intermittently and after reading all the posts on this forum, the first thing I did was take it to my subaru mechanic (SandJ) and get them to check the code. The diagnosis was the car was running lean, and so a quick check of the banjo bolt filters followed to ensure the VVT was not advanced as some others have experienced on the forums. With no issues there it seemed it was the injectors causing the problem and I didn't want to waste or money paying my mechanics to work through injector cleaning, upper cylinder head cleaning and so on. Quote for them to source and fit genuine injectors was around $1,500 (injectors were $288 each from subaru).
I hate paying full retail for anything, so a bit of time spent scouring the net I found the following website
http://www.subarupartsonline.com. Armed with the part number I managed to secure all four with postage to Oz for $500 (before the dollar slipped below parity). I paid for my mechanic to fit them whilst the car was in for other work, so the exercise ended up costing me $700 which is a massive saving. If I could understand Japanese I could have probably saved more!!
Hope this helps out anyone with an early GT.
