mattmcc22 wrote:HI I have only just joined this forum. I have placed a deposit on a 2006 my 06 3.0 spec b manual sedan subject to racq mechanical inspection and will be picking it up next weekend. To be honest I am pretty niave about cars but I am a quick learner. I am a hreen p plater from Brisbane until november. Also I have no idea if I am meant to place my first post somewhere else or if here is fine.
But anyway on subject I am interested on the e85/98 tune. Who would I contact in brisbane about getting it done? Also I'll be moving to mackay next year for uni for 2 years, would the tune be fine to run on 98 for that long with the occasional e85 when I come to brisbane?
Thanks for any help, and sorry if this was the wrong place to post. I look forward to participating in these forums over time.
P.s. the tune seems great for e85, what sort of improvements would I be seeing on the 98ron side of things.

How is DOXJ001M ECU going? I see talk about fuel flex which is something I thought was off the cards so the other dual fuel method you came up with was required?
Figured I would post rather than PM for those that are interested.
cheers.
cynner wrote:Just flicking through this thread. I have an the DW65C fuel pump and an Australian-made Cooper fuel filter (under $50 for the plastic filter, no sock though) ready to go in. I can either go and find the Toyota fuel sock to fit, or use the DW one... but apparently this can cause pickup issues?
Also I have run 1 tank of 5% e85 to clean the system... is this enough "cleaning" before changing over to my e85 tune (flex fuel tune from Matt) with the new fuel filter/pump? (obviously don't want to clog up the new filter straight away!)

cynner wrote:Cool yeah photos would be interesting. Mine has 170,000kms on the clock - original engine. How come you needed a new one?
Have been running BP Ultimate (98) since I've had it - suppose that would keep the fuel lines relatively clean.
